Anyone from Dayton, OH?

Hey Guys,

Looking at a '70 T in Dayton, OH however, I am located in RI and flights are about 600 bucks. So I was wondering if anyone would be able to take a look and possibly do a PPI if knowledgeable on early 911s. Compensation would be provided of course. PM me if interested. Thanks!

Regards,

Kevin M.

Don't want to speak for them, but I know Eric McKenna (of Taj MaGaraj) and several other Pelicans are Daytonians (or is that Daytonites) that would certainly know some inside scoop for a PPI mechanic.

Or.....go to www.thegaraj.com and contact Yuri Rojas. He's a really good guy that knows what he's doing.

Try a flight into Columbus, Oh instead. It's 1.5 hour drive, but it would most likely be a heckuva lot cheaper, even after renting the car. Just a suggestion in case you really want to see the car yourself. Another place to check for a PPI is Farler Performance (513-932-1535) -- he builds most of the club racers' cars in the Dayton/Cincinnati area.

Thanks for all your help guys, I called the Taj Garaj today and for 200 bucks they will take a look through the car including a compression test. Seems like this will be the best bet. They even take the car by a body shop to check for accidents etc. I am going to talk to the seller tonight and see what can be arranged. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks!

Regards,

Kevin

I would recommend either Danny King at P3 automotive, or better yet Ken Farler at Farler Performance, if you can get him...

Danny can be reached at 937-312-9950

Farler advertises in the local PCA newsletter (Bent Pylon), which I don't have with me right now. You may be able to get his number through the PCA site on the e-version of the newsletter. Ohio Valley Region (OVR)

Either of these guys would be excellent...

whoops, didn't see Farler's number already posted above...

Also, FYI, The Garaj (Yuri Rojas) and The Taj Ma Garaj are 2 separate entities, though Yuri does a great deal of the work on John's cars for him.
