Euro-911sc

Aloha,

I just acquired a 1980 Euro911sc...

What are the major difference in terms of components and parts vs the US model? Are major components interchangeable? For example are items like the fuel pump similar. I'm assuming the piston and cyl are different due to the compression difference.

Thanks

Welcome to the board! Your suspicion about interchangable parts is about right. Many Items like the fuel pump will be the same. The engine and transmission will be the big differences. There are also cosmetic items like exterior lights/bumpers etc.

Post some pics. of your car for us to check out!

Cheers, Cooper

Thumbs up

Several subtle differences... some listed in this thread:

Euro VS. Reg SC

Basically,

Engine is slightly different. Fuel distributor is also different. Depending on year so are valve sizes. For the most part, body and interior are the same. Some minor light differences. Initial ride height was lower.

A very important detail for mine was the rev limiter. For euro's its a centripetal mechanism in the rotor of the distributor... for US is a little black box behind the tach. Some wrench had tuned it up and put a US rotor on it... ergo NO REV LIMITER!

So... you may wish to check yours

Enjoy!
