Fuchs Tech Q: Ever a high offset 16" 5x130 made ? ? ?
This might be an odd question, but I need to know if Fuchs ever came in a High offset? Say 60mm......16" rim.
I am interested in fitting a set of Fuchs to our company 07 VW Rabbit that we are building as a Project Car. Since the car is White with black door trim, and black bumper trim...I thought the classic look of the Fuchs would be perfect.....problem is a VW bolt pattern is 5x112. I thought that if I could find a Porsche fitment 16x8 with a high enough offset, I could use a set of adapters in order to run them on the VW. We make adapters that are 25mm 5x130 to 5x112. But as I am trying to be at a finished ET of ~35mm, I have calculated that I need the wheel to start around 60mm if I need to incorporate a bolt pattern change as well. Any help would be appreciated. The highest o/s 5 spoke 911/early 944 Fuchs is the 23.3mm 7 or 8 x16 and the 36mm 6x16

It can be done!
Take a stock 6x16" Fuchs with a 36mm offset to a custom wheel shop and have it widened on the inside by 2" to 8" wide. This new 8x16 will have an offset of 61mm. My local wheel shop can easily do this job. Post a pic when you are done. |
