Unhappy Front speaker cover removal ?

I am trying to figure out how to pop the plastic speaker covers off so I can install better speakers I don't want to break them. Does the entire door panel have to come off? If so, that is mystery #2 .... I see these panels have the plastic snap in buttons, but trying to find any other fasteners is not too easy. Mine is an 82 model.

Could you post a photo? Not quite sure what your door, panel and map pocket looks like on an 82 turb.

I just replaced my door speakers in April... not a big deal.

Door panels have to be removed to safely remove the covers. Do a search on panel removal.
