another bilstein question - 1978 SC
HI Folks
wanting to replace the rear shocks on my SC, currently green ones installed so i guess they are bilstein. few questions do the HD suit the 911 - I found a good deal somewhere but don't want to ride with off road shocks :-) what is the correct part number for the original green bilsteins? F4-B46-0169-H0. ? cause these seem to be heavy duty and this is what the bilstein website says HEAVY DUTY (HD) For most vehicles including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for heavy hauling for occasional off-road use, while maintaining an exceptional “street” ride. I don't plan to do any ofroading with my 911 drive save Kurt Belgium |

Welcome Kurt!
I changed the inserts on my Carrera to Bilstein HD ('standard') all around. Works very well for me, but I do not track the car. |
HD, as they are called in the US, is what used to be on the turbos, no offroading stuff.
If you drive a little more aggressively and don't mind the harsher ride, the Bilstein Clubsport are excellent. They don't seem to be available in the US. |
