Fanbelt warning light???

Recently driving my 91 964 c4 home from work.Fan belt light came on. It went off about 30 seconds later. Came back on 5 minutes later and went off again.

I pulled over to check the fanbelt. Everything looked fine and tension was good. Temperatures were fine.

It went off and on 4 or 5 times during a period of 40 minutes or so.

Any ideas? Anyone with similar experiences.

Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.

bad microswitch in the roller housing, or corrosion on the plug terminals.
