Fresh air blower removal
Hey guy's a few question's? I need to gain access to my fog light switch because i think i need to replace it, (fog lights don't work). Has any one removed the fresh air blower, how difficult is it? Secondly my high beams don't work and there is no current at the fuse locations, i used a light tester and got nothing. I searched for previous thread's and couldn't find the right answer...Thanxs!

I know nothing about the lights but taken that blower out is cake. As with anything 20+ years old be careful with the small plastic bits.
Even the cables that control everything (fresh air related) are no big deal to disconnect and readjust. Go for it. You always have this board to fall back on for further advise.

Sabeo,
I went through the pain of replacing my fog lamp switch for the same reason. It turned out that my wire connections to the fuse box needed to be cleaned up a little. If your switch lights up (fog) and the fog lamps due not turn on then I would clean up the wiring. If your regular lights do not work at all and the fog lamps don't work, then it might just be you regular lights that are the source of the problem. The fogs can only come on if the regular lights (at least the running lights) are on. So I would concentrate on the regular lights first. As Tom said, taking out the fresh air blower system isn't that hard. I wouldn't do it though until you absolutely have to though. If you do take it out do yourself a favor and replace the cowl seal to the fresh intake. I didn't and mine leaks now a bit. Just another of my lessons learned I hope some one else doesn't have to learn. BTW, you can access the fog lamp switch through the clock orifice in the car's cabin. Its tight, but do-able. Take out the clock and fish your left hand through it and over to the fog lamp switch. Still I wouldn't go down this road until I knew for sure that the switch is actually bad. -Matt
