Help With Engine ID
I need help with IDing an engine number. Normally, I would not bother the forum with this request, but my "numbers book" is out on loan. We have a motor that was reported to be a "new" 3.0L. I was just checking out the number yesterday and noted that it is 6401032. Isn't that a 1974 engine number or am I missing something? Thanks.

I have it as a 1980 SC engine number.
1974's were 614xxxx for a 911 and 624xxxx for the 911 S and Carrera

Hey Tony. How are you. Thanks for the response and glad to hear it truly is an SC motor. My knowledge base kind of runs thin after 1973 MY.
