Numbers written on filters and determining history of my Porsche

Hello. I am trying to put together some history of a car I purchased recently that it turns out has some conflicting odometer readings.

There are identical dates written on both the fuel filter and air filter (believe it or not, in 1998!!!!) along with the number "43073". Same number on both filters. Is this a number that would identify the shop that repaired the car? What does that number mean?

My broader question is how to obtain service records on the car (apart from calling all the Porsche specialists in the areas the car came from) or mileage readings that might not appear in AutoChecker, as the mileage was stated as Exempt for the last 10 years. If anybody has suggestions on that, please let me know.

Thanks.

Ken K.

The 43073 was possibly the mileage. I always use a marker to write the dates and the mileage on my fuel filter, air filter and oil filter to remind me of when to change them.

Now why didn't I think of that? (although the Porsche dealer I called didn't know the answer either)

Yes, that makes sense. Thanks!
