Re-installing Center Console A/C Control Wiring in '81 SC

I bought my 911SC cpe in Feb '07 with the carpet, seats, and center console removed. The A/C was disconnected in Sept '06. The records show that the car had a "complete R134 Kit" installed by a Porsche repair facility ($1400) in 2001.

I've been doing more performance related projects but am now ready to try to get the A/C running if not at least properly installed for next summer.

I have 2 questions:

1. Does anyone have a link/ guide to a step by step process for charging the system?

2. Can you tell me where these pictured wires from the center console plug in? I'm pretty confident I can find the plugs pretty easily, not sure where to place the stripped white wire.

The stripped white wire is a temperature probe that ends up in the condenser fins in the smugglers box.

Thanks - any more guidance out there on how to charge an A/C? I did search and found a lot of discussions, but no step by step procedure.

I'd take it to a good shop, have them flush everything, install a new receiver/dryer, and be prepared to do the whole thing at least another 2-3 times before all of the old gunk is flushed out and the system is working properly. You may want to change the expansion valve too.
