URO Turbo valve cover review

I have just replaced my leaking warped valve covers on my early 911.
Well made. Looks great and a perfect fit. Its just an aluminium casting with a nice machined face so what can go wrong. I would certainly give a thumbs up for these. Next oil change or valve clearance job.

Lyndon, love this. I was debating buying a set, given how cheap they are compared to others on the market. What did you do about your uppers? Did you keep them stock?

Stock uppers. Just gave them a sand on some glass.

The URO Parts turbo-style lower Valve Cover has a SurTec 650 passivation treatment for corrosion resistance (which darkens the surface a bit and gives it a hint of rainbow hue), and is available from Pelican here: 930 105 116 05 (they're working on adding a product photo).

Here are results of a similar SurTec 650 treatment after 336 hours of exposure testing, compared to 120 hours without treatment and 336 hours with yellow passivation.

Looks nice. And affordable enough to have a spare set around to speed up valve adjustments (clean them later at your leisure)

Hey URO dude,
Do you have a recommended lower gasket to go with your turbo style valve cover? Seems like the perfect opportunity to supply a "leak free kit"?

We recommend, with late turbo style covers, Wrightwood racing Gray graphite upper gaskets, green lower, no silicone bead, new washers and nylock nuts(wrightwood racing kits come with the best hardware, the washers are hard alu.). Then torque he uppers to 15 ft/lbs, the lower to 18ft/lbs. They'll never leak:
