how about a Monterey Historics pic thread?
I would've liked to post the first pics but my camera hit the ground really hard on Friday morning before the race.... Mark, I've seen you walk around with your megabucks cam. Show us the goodies!

I posted a link but it has slipped back a few pages. Here it is again http://www.bench-racing.com/html/news.html
I am also going to put all our pictures from the Saturday Toyota Celebrity race in one file for easier viewing. It was one of the most entertaining races of the weekend as the "Legends" got caught up in the RED MIST. I think every car except Derek Bell and Al Unser Sr. suffered some damage. Regards, Charles

Toyota Legends Race pictures are now in a separate album for easy viewing. http://www.bench-racing.com/html/news.html
Those guys spent more time going off into the dirt then on the pavement. They had to send the sweeper out onto the course afterwards, took about 30 minutes to clean up the corners. We also included some pictures from the "Revolution to Evolution" panel discussion which took place on Thursday. Phil Remmington, Dave Despain, Herb Fishel, the head of Michelin that lost his job over the F1 Indy tire incedent, etc. The racers from the Toyota Legends Race sat in the front row and really got the conversation going by criticizing "European" style racing (all technology) vs. the driver controlling the car (Heros behind the wheel). Lots of swear words and laughter, definitely no holds barred stuff. It was all taped so maybe it will be on SPEED sometime. Links to Auction results are also posted http://www.bench-racing.com/html/news.html RM Auction sold a 1972 E for $41,250 and a 1974 Carrera Targa fo $38,500. A salute to Toyota for hosting the Legends race and giving out hats, earplugs, chapstick, packpacks, and water, all for free! One way or another they are going to buy their way into the hearts of American Racing Fans. Regards, Charles
