Bursch Headers for 1971 911T
Has anyone tried these headers? Can I go up to 1 5/8" pipe? or does it have to be the same size as my muffler? I'm thinking of getting a pair and using them with my Ansa mufflers.
Thanks for the reply. mh |

I have them on my '73 2.4 ltr, into a two in, two out Dansk stainless muffler. I don't care about heat or defrost because the car is mostly tracked, but also driven on the street to certain events. Sound is very nice, but pretty loud.

Jmatta,
Thanks. My old ansa's already pretty loud. I have never used to the heat and defroster anyways, so I thought I throw some Bursch on there, so see if the backfiring stops when I let off the gas. mh |

If you are running the stock 2.2 in your 71 then I think you might actually want to stay with the 1.5" primaries. Going to big can make you loose low end. However, if you intend to go to a 3.0 or a 3.2 some time in the future then 1 5/8 might be an ok decision.
I was running bursh headers and ansa mufflers on my '67 it was fairly loud. I ran the 1 5/8 but I was running a 2.7... |
