NYY 9II license request was rejected by Ca DMV

Fellow pelicans I need help in picking a specialized license plate .
My recent request was rejected .
As you can see I am a Yankee fan ( please don't hold that against me ) and of course a Porsche owner . I would like to incorporate both my allegiance to my team and a love for my car .
California will not allow numbers to be substituted for letters or letters to be substituted for numbers .
I already complained to the DMV that the model of my Porsche is a 911
They could not care less since September 11 th in 2000 is connected with the attack of the twin towers .
So give me your best shot !
my car is 1989 3.2 911
silver
anniversary addition

YanksIXXI or YanksCMXI (roman numerals). You might want to take out the S if only 8 letters are allowed like in NY. I'm a mets fan and I will NOT hold it against you.

Maybe they turned you down because the Twin Towers/Pentagon, etc attacks were in 2001 not 2000..

Correct targa

911 attack was in 2001 not 2000
I remember now . Yanks beat Mets in 2000 for Championship

I am originally from New England......
So I can see why anyone would want a plate with NYY, NYJ, NYK.......

I would have PATS, RED SOX, CELTS

Sorry could not resist.

Appeal it, screw them. I've taken them on three times. Won them all.

Smart call from DMV as that number could be confused with NYY 911 which is probably a standard issue and who needs to be confused with another on a traffic camera citation? Two 0drivers of hot cars in Michigan got plates with random runs of "I"s and "1"s, like "1I1II11I" or
"I1I1II1I". That makes it easy for them to hoon and avoid someone accurately report them or for a chasing car to get a proper identity. One plate was on a Ferrari and the other on a highly boosted Saab.

Why advertise the car? Its already such an iconic thing that no more badges are needed. Try something like "YANKEE 9S" or "GO YANKS" or "NY YANKS" or "NYY TEAM". If you still need 911, try "911 NY9" but that perhaps they are using that configuration already in their std. issue. Good luck.

The 911 doesn't need a license plate to identify itself as a 911.
