Porsche Crest G50 clutch question

I have just had a new PP, flywheel and metallic clutch disc installed in my 87 track only 911. At the point of drive-line engagement (clutch disengagement) in first gear, I am getting a fairly loud momentary squeal. Almost sounds like a metallic version of momentary tire lockup. I can make it happen in second a bit by mis-matching the revs/feathering the engagement, but otherwise all other gear transitions are quiet. Drive-line locks up nicely as soon as the clutch is disengaged in all gears - no slipping. New TO bearing and guide tube. Could this be a wear in situation or is that not really a factor with a racing style clutch disc? Thanks

When I had a Kennedy Engineering PP and non OEM clutch (don't remember what clutch) I had the same thing. It only seemed to happen when I had to slip the clutch on a hill or something. Don't know what was causing it. It may be normal with the type of clutch/PP.

btw - the clutch is the coupler in the system. You're engaging the clutch when you're hearing the squeal.

What kind of clutch facing does your disk have?

I have the Kennedy light weight pressure plate with a Sachs sprung dub disk and the thing doesn't make any engagement sound. (Love the combination...)

Patrick Motorsport, metallic, bronze sintered I think. Made for racing durability. On or off,any slipping and you get a "chirp".
