I received a gift for my birthday. An Oil filter with the following ID # 930 . 107 . 764 . 01 . LS 128 , Porsche made in the USA , which engine does it fit??? I tried on my 3.2 and i could not get it on !! Lucky for me I tried this before I let the oil out. Just had to re fasten the old filter for now till i get the correct one. being shipped by our host as we write. Thanks for any info on this filter which apears non usable by me.

It should fit. Looking at the Pelican Web Catalog (http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearch/PEL_search.cgi?command=show_part_page&please_wait=N&make=POR&model=911M§ion=BASflt&page=1&bookmark=2&part_number=930-107-764-01-OEM):
930-107-764-01-OEM Genuine Porsche Oil Filter, 911 (1972-94)
