Wiring to tail light assembly ?????

I have a 67 912 / 911 . The wiring is old . Does the wiring run under the carpet to the rear of the car ? If not where ? Does anyone know ? Any help would be appreciated . Thankee

The wiring does not run under the carpet but that's the only think I can say for certain.

I have a limited access to a 69 project car and from what I can see--looking from the taillights--the wiring runs through a loom in the engine compartment, leaves the engine compartment near the center firewall but toward the passenger side, and runs forward under the rear passenger seat where I cannot see due to lack of access. It could continue through the longitudinal or through the center tunnel, but those are guesses. Someone with first hand experience should respond soon. Just don't tear up your carpet unnecessarily.

Assuming it's similar to my 69, it runs through the center tunnel. (See the bundles exit in the trunk)



See the wire bundle above the pass side, brake T fitting (hard to see in this photo...sorry)
