Start by using the " Search this Forum" feature in the upper right hand corner. Type in words contained in the request, in your case, windshield wipers, and elaborate from there if needed. |
better than searching....the parking points in the switch need to contact each other with the switch off. they can be easily identified and tweeked by watching the switch work, but the steering wheel and plastic column covers have to come off, and the switch detached from it's bracket so it can be turned sufficiently to see the parking points. that's the usual culprit and should be eliminated in the repair process first. takes 10 minutes.

Thanks John, steering wheeel is off at the moment anyway so will try in the next couple of days.

+1 to what John said.....
I would follow up with this, if this remedy doesn't work it may be the wiper intermittent relay. Do you have the intermittent wipers? there is a rotary knob in between your gauges if you do have this option. Good luck with your investigation. Matt |
The intermittent won't work at all if the wipers don't park first. PAV, its customary to post a pic of your car first or early on, its kind of an entry fee thing. Welcome to a great BBS. Just stay out of the "off topic" forum if your a social liberal.
