Hard to down shift

Hi
I have rebuild my 915 tranny.
New breakbands, slider, syncro hub etc..
I wonder if this is normal or have i done something wrong?
When i down shift to 1st gear with speed it complain.
Put in first gear when standing still or with low speed no problem at all.
The tranny works well and no bad noise.
The first gear is asymetric.
Could it bee that first gear breakband are rotated?

regards
tom

Every single car I have ever driven didn't like being put into first gear while at speed. I don't think there is anything wrong. But hey, what do I know.

Under 5 mph is really the limit of shifting into first. As you almost come to a stop, hold light pressure on the shifter up against 1st gear gate (with clutch disengaged). When you're almost stopped, it will just pop right into gear. Don't shift into 1st at a higher speed than this and expect the syncro to last.
