PMO carb ? What size

Hey guys I am hoping you can help me a little here. I got a set of 40mm PMO's off a burned car. They are currently at Bieker Engineering awaiting a rebuild. Harry said they would be 41.5mm when he is done. He can also make them bigger 46mm up to 52mm I think. I really don't need them so I am wondering if there is a more sought after size. Really I am just going to sell them once they are done. Thanks for the help

What year car do you have? What engine? What do you use the car for (track/street)? Carbs are great and they sound fantastic, I'm sure you will like them!

They came off a 74 2.7 motor. They are not going back on it though. I'm really a 914 guy & don't plan on doing a conversion. So I just want to get these a size people will want. They will be for sale once they are finished.

JRust,

Sorry I didn't read you post closely enough. Knowing they came off a '74 2.7L ought to help, though.

...or find a buyer who wants a specific throttle size and ask Bieker to build to that spec. The buyer gets a custom-sized, rebuilt PMO/Weber and everybody is sorta happy.

My Webers are 40mm on my '74 with 2.7L engine that was previously CIS. No other modifications were made except for the induction and fuel pump.

Sounds like I'll just stick with the 41.5 they will be. I've had a few emails inquiring when they will be up for sale. Unfortunately I don't have a timeline from Harry. He's had them 3 months allready & just got them in cleaning solution of some kind. NO problem as I knew the wait would be a long one. Besides he does excellent work from what I hear so I don't mind waiting. Heck it will be close to a grand to get them rebuilt as it is. Well thanks again for the tips
