P.S. - Your profile indicates "manager" as an occupation. What/who do you manage?

Ketchum951,

Another excellent site to check is http://www.carcareonline.com/. You can find very good how-to articles on their site, and if you click on "By Category" and scroll down to favorites you will find the products that they really recommend. I have no afflilation with them, but I can say that their recommendations (the favorites list) have proven very satisfactory to me.

Re. your Fuchs wheels - I was actually pondering this question myself earlier today and ended up calling Larry Reynolds who owns Carcareonline. His advice to me was:

- P21S multi-surface finish restorer polish for the rim
- 3M Imperial hand glaze for the black petals
- One Grand Blitz Wax afterwards on both the rim, petals, etc.

I did all 4 wheels on my '89 early this evening (I already had these items) and was very happy with the results. I had previously used the vaseline method; this always turned out good but the brake dust really sticks to the wheels even after wiping and wiping and wiping to get all the excess off.

As to the best products to use for your detailing; there are many experts on this forum who have much more experience in this area than me but I will be happy to give you a short list in case it might help you:

Perls Shampoo car wash (from our host)
Lexol Vinylex for vinyl, rubber, tires, etc.
Lexol cleaner and conditioner for the seats
One Grand Blitz Wax

I ordered the Porsche polish and the hard wax (a liquid) from our host just after I bought my car; but I like the Blitz Wax (a paste) better (just my opinion). I have not polished the car recently but am planning to this weekend and will use the 3M imperial hand glaze this time.

Hope this helps you...again, there are real Concours experts here who will no doubt weigh in with recommendations on better products.

Regards,
David

You can get all 3 products from www.carcareonline.com and all are hand applied. The P21S polish is also available from our host; click on P21S on this page:
