'73 Euro Turn Signal Lens - Options

I am looking to replace the Euro Turn Signal lens on my '73 911.

I see that our host sells the solid yellow/orange US version but not the yellow/clear Euro version so I am forced to look at other sites.

These other sites (Stoddard, Perf Prod, Pap-parts) have the reproduction versions of the Euro but does anyone have any experience with one of these vendors reproduction versions that they can recommend?

How are these repro's quality? Some of these sites' pics make the black edging look almost too wide....... also, how does the yellow hold up to fading with compared to the OE Bosch ones?

Any input? Thanks!

I bought a pair of repros European/chrome front turnsignal lenses and have a OEM Bosch one. Ironically, the repros have a deeper, less yellow lens color, such that I actually prefer the repros to the OEM one. Also, I noticed on another 911 a couple of weekends ago that the chrome edging was on the front/outside of the lenses, while it is on the inside/back of the repro/OEM lenses I have. My original '73 black ones have the black on the back side too. I don't know what is correct. Maybe there were different versions. Maybe the outside black ones are the ones that look wider.

FWIW, I thought I'd like the chrome grilles and chrome edged lenses better. But, I think I'm going back to black (ha!).

I will add though that even though I have the dual color Euro lenses now, the light unit itself is not Euro. So, there is no actual different bulb behind the clear part, making the dual colors are meaningless. It bothers me that it is meaningless.

lol...i fully understand the "meaningless" thing about the no light in the fixture thing. i lived with that for years! i've wanted to make them with working lights.

thanks for the comparison of the oe vs the reproductions lens.....that is exactly the info that i was looking for....especially the plastic dye tint darkness point.

have you noticed either lens fade over time? my bosch euro lens faded over time....have the reproduction's tint held their color over time?
