MFI Hard lines re-attaching

I have just finished re-installing the MFI pump after having it out and soaked and, thanks to everyones help, the car is running better then ever, or at least better then it has in the 15 years it sat. The problem I am having is that fuel seems to be leaking not from the hard lines themselves but from the "adapters" that they attach to on the pump. I have taken those off to "clean" them and am wondering if there should be some type of thread lock on them that might have gotten destroyed by the soaking?

Any suggestions would be great.

Just so everybody knows what you are talking about, the "adapters" are the fittings that go into the pump under the red caps in my photo.

I would absolutely not use any sealant on those, you run the risk of having it drip down into the pump's cylinders which are right below the "adapters." If it gums up the pistons or the spiral channel in the side it's game over for the pump.

I would telephone Gus Pfister at Pacific Fuel Injection, whose telephone number is (650) 588-8880, and ask him what to do. Looking at the MFI repair manual, it appears that those are connected to the individual plungers below. I can't figure out what the tightening torque is supposed to be, and there's a complex backlash measurement for the plungers that may be related to the position of the "adapters." Call Gus before you do anything.
