Amateur needs help with tail light seal

i've got some new seals and lenses for my rear tail lights - is it easier to install the new seals with the tail light assembly in place or should i remove the whole tail light?

I've taken the lens off and see the 2 screws holding the taillight in place, it looks like it would be easier if i removed the tail light, but not sure.

other threads i've searched dont actually say.

cheers

Shane, no need to remove the entire housing. New seals can be kind of bear to get placed properly, but you just have to work them into place carefully.

Shane,
Just a thought, and I might add that I'm about to replace my own seals, but anyway I think you should definitely pull the housings so you can clean all the connections and the housings themselves as well as the fender cavity "while you're in there". It all looks like something even I can do.
