Rocker / trim question
 

I have a '77 911 s . It looks to me as my rocker panel does not come down as far as all the other 911 's do . Most of the other 911's I look at have a black trim piece that seems to split the rocker panel , mine does not . Do I need to install another rocker panel or just install a trim piece ? I wish I could post pics but that would take me a month to figure out. I know my description is very vague, but I tried to describe as best I could. Thanks for any help.
