engine number help?

Can someone confirm this engine number 6100603 ? 2 litre or 2.2 ? Is it matching number 68 911 ?

Thanks

Looks to me that it is a 1970 911T, 2.2l engine. Check the engine type number. If it is a 911/03 then it matches the 1970 model year production.

That is a valid number for a ’70 911T engine.

6100603 decodes:

6 = 6 cylinder unit
1 = 911T engine type
0 = Model year 1970
0603 = Sequential number

If you post the Type number, you will get more info. If a USA car it probably is a 911/07, RoW is 911/03. Both are 2195 cc (2.2l), 8.5:1 CR, 125 hp @ 5800 rpm.

Best,
Grady
