Car looks great. How has your upgrades treated you. I too love the autocross. Good luck with your class, it's a little addictive after seeing results.

Upgrades
Ryan my experience is that these old cars are very responsive to suspension rebuilds, Torsion bar upgrades, sticky tires, lots of negative camber and the addition of headers or SSI's. Now I just need to develop my 911 driving skills with more track time at a DE.

Looks great! I am in the early stages of AX myself, but totally hooked! I am planning torsion bar and shock upgrades this winter, and plan to buy some dedicated wheels/DOT tires before the next season starts...any further pontifications @ your setup, I would love to hear about it!

911SC mods
GL05; sorry for the late response. All mods are listed in my signature. For tires I run Bridgestone RE-01R tires (205 / 225) shaved to 6/32nds on 6 and 7 inch Fuchs (I drive to events within 100 miles). Ride height is 25" front and 24.5" rear. Camber is 1.5 and 2 degrees negative front and rear respectively.
Headers made a huge difference and I finally love the sound of my 911. One nice thing about early SC's is you can adjust the mixture and spark advance for more power. I had a post two weeks ago on my one day engine compartment makeover. To minimize dead weight I removed the AC to shed 62 lbs. The fog lights were another 4 lbs. I tried a Corbeau Forza seat (-9 lbs) but it was not comfy, still looking for something better. Next year I plan to upgrade the battery to drop 12 lbs. I also have a TRE rollbar waiting in the garage as a winter project. The Autocross season ends here in mid October, I have two more chances to claim a first place trophy this year if those dam M3's will stay away. ![]()
