				Front shocks replacement.

Stupid question but do you guys and girls have any tips on how to get the nut that holds the shocks in place down enough ti get it to grip?? Im having troube with that. Only solution i have is to have a friend pushing down the nut with a piece of pipe that fits over the shock.. Any other ideas??

Are you sure the inside bottom of the strut is cleaned out? You might surprise yourself and find a rubber washer or too much oil inside. The gland nut should not be hard to fit. Is it possible the shocks are a bit tall for the strut? If all else fails and you're sure everything checks out, jack up the a-arm a bit and compress the shock.

Something there isn't right. Like Tony says I think something is stuck in the bottom of the strut housing.

Are you replacing your strut inserts? If so, are you using the gland nut that came with them? Different strut inserts use different gland nuts.

			Try jacking up the spindle.

Thanks tony ill check inside the strut.. I am using the gland nut that came with the new shock. I have compared with the old one and everything seems to be in order. Will have another go at it tomorrow evening... Thanks!

That's weird. It looks like you have Bilsteins. The gland nut should slide right over it down to the strut.
