Help needed for Carb/Cam setup
Hope you guys can help me out. Did the search and could not find anything yet for my problem.
I would like to try a carb/cam setup with a different ignition control (would like to get rid of the motronic) for one of my project cars, 1984 911, with a 3.6 engine. I would like to get approx. 340-360 hp as result. Any suggestion what is needed and does anybody know who delivers the parts needed, like carbs, cams, ignition... As of now I have a low mileage 3.6 long block and need to complete the engine and would like to take the right way but would prefer to go with carburetors. Carbs just look better ![]() Thanks |

Shahram:
If you want a real, genuine 340-360 HP, you will spend some $$$$$. ![]() A 3.6 needs a six-throttle induction system (ITB's or PMO's), cams, a good race-type exhaust and host of internal upgrade for durability. One would use the stock distributor (appropriately modified) and a pair of MSD's.
