Oil cooler block off plate
I'm deleting the engine oil cooler on my 914-6 conversion & running a large external cooler up front. Anyone know where to find a engine block off plate? Any race shops or are these custom built?

check with smart racing. Why delete though? Many later actually backdate their 3.6 engines and add the engine moutned cooler. It is good for low speed conditions, especially, as the air from the engine continues to push through the engine mounted cooler. Hopefully, you won't idle in traffic, but that is an effective means to cool the engine, in addition to an external cooler.

I have some clearance issues, so I'm considering deleting the cooler if I can get it to work. The car's probably going to end up a track/DE car. But who really knows at this point. The build is a work in progress. The engine is in, all the welding is done. Now it's time to pipe & finish the wiring.
