New Dash Pad Removal

Hi again Guys

I have to remove the old dash pad from my 1982 /911SC Targa .I'm using the Waynes D. 101 Proyect as a refference book. I'm planning to recover the old instruments dash pad , window/door side trim and the rear window dash with real leather . I foud a local supplyer that have similar grain and finnish . ( better than the original)

Well The big question is .. Can the dash pad be removed with the windshield installed ?

I know it will be easier with/out it ,but again .. Can it be done?

Cordially
Vic

Vic, the windshield has to come out. Didn't you remove your Targa's rear window to replace the seal? The windshield is a piece of cake compared to that project.

Yes I did remove the rear window.., or I should sa....I pay$$$ for it as well as the front. But still can the dash pad be removed? I hate to remove the window again. I was hoping for some hint's. I just painted the entire car and it came out real nice.

Vic, the windshield will have to come out. There are screws around the perimeter of the dash at the very front.
