Removing oil tank level sender
I have a 73 and cannot get my level sender out of the tank . I have tried all positions and cannot remove it . Any help is appreciated

S man ,thanks for the photo. It may help in removal and clearly helps in my "whats that rattle " quest , After looking at the photo I think what I see is a previously dropped oil level stick .

I found a dipstick in my tank too, must be a common procedure.
FS- '73 911 dipstick.

When you do get the sender out of the oil tank, you will need to replace it. Do this. Cut a small hole in a piece of cardboard to simulate the hole in the tank. Use the cardboard to practice inserting the sender until you master the moves. Then do it on the car.
