Wayne - Main site search seems completely broken
Hi Wayne,
I'm searching for some parts. I go to www.pelicanparts.com, click on the Porsche. In the 'Enter Description or Part Number box at top left, I type in 'sway bar bushing' and click Go. I get many results, but all are tech articles, etc. On the left under 'Refine your search', I uncheck 'All Accessories', 'Help and Support', and 'Technical Articles', leaving only '911 (1974-89)' checked, then click 'Go Search'. This is the result: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1190750280.jpg I tried searching for a variety of parts, such as 'axle shaft', 'CV Joint' and always got no hits. Woddup with that? ianc |
There may have been something wrong yesterday, but not it's working 100% fine. I selected what you selected, and got plenty of results. Are you using a non-standard browser?

On the search subject, Wayne, just so you know, using either of the search functions always crashes Safari, and this happens on three different Macs I use. Firefox is fine.
Frustrating personally, as my internet computer at work only has Safari, and we're not authorized to install Firefox. |
Hi Wayne,
Thanks for checking it; yes, it seems to be working fine now. I guess it only took a nap when I actually ordered parts, but it was definitely out. I'm using IE7, ianc |
Agree on the Safari thing - crashes it every time!
Looks like I'm gonna have to keep the PC for a while longer. |
