Commemorative and anniversary edition 3.2

Hi,
I'm interested in 911 3.2 special edition commemorative and anniversary MY 88 and MY 89.Searching in internet and owners' informations, I understood a lot of interesting things.
For example there are a lot of mistakes in particular anniversary model is take for commemorative also in the books.
I've collected a lot of photos about these models. In this forum I've read and appreciated some thread about these topics. For a definition of same questionsfor me should be very interesting to have original anniversary and commemorative brochures.
Can anyone give me a copy or show me a shops or address where I can buy it?
Waiting an answer I hope to find someone else like me interested about this question.

Regards

Matteo

I agree with you. When I first got my car, there was conflicting info. I have the MY89 brochure and I will check if it is mentioned in there.

I'll let you know if any of my books accurately mention anything. I rely on Bruce Anderson's Market Update in Excellence for the specific production numbers.

Mine is an 89 and I have alway liked the anniversary editions. One bit of advise is that you keep the car as original as possible. I think that car, if kept in original condition, will really retain its value over the years. (Good luck trying, you might want to avoid this board.)

Do a search on "Commemorative" here on Pelican, and you will find lots of discussions about these two special editions from the past several years. I'll offer a differing opinion that they're not "rare", so although they may command a slight premium over other well kept G50s, I had no qualms doing tasteful modifications to mine...I love it!

ps: The '88 Marketing brochure (Commemorative Edition) is in the archives too...

There are vendors in the classified section of Panorama that sell brochures. Try www.autolit.com

Matteo,

After chuckr replied, I knew I didn't have the Anniversary brochure. What I have is the MY89 911 Carrera/911 Turbo sales brochure. Unfortunately, it does not have any mention of the Anniversary Edition.

I do not have the glovebox badge. From my understanding, it was placed on some, possibly by the original owners themselves. It didn't come with my car when I bought it (3rd owner).

I'll post a picture of the option list in the future (if I even have it).

Sure Matteo, I'll be glad to. I've got the scans in PDF format, and they are around 600K each, so I've had better success sending them as individual emails (due to size limitations of some mail servers) and there are 6 in all. PM me with your email address, or reply here, and I'll send them to you and anyone else who wants the scans. My '88 CE has no tail, front spoiler, dash plaque, Carrera emblem on the rear lid, etc. I've found that the "special editions" can vary widely with all combinations of these particular options.
