Correct CV Boot for my Porsche? Help
My mechanic told me today I need new CV boots (close to wheel).
Apparently I need CV boot for SC - 1980. Would you happen to know what's the exact part number? It's going all the way to Costa Rica and I don't want to make timely mistake. I found couple different parts in the parts catalog, but I would really appreciate input. They all look the same :( 901-332-293-12-M61 901-332-293-12-M60 I am lost. TIA |
Getting the boots is the least of your problems....disassembly, inspection and repacking is needed. If the inners are gone the outers will need them soon.
"I" bought a pair of factory rebuilds and just slammed them in....I sent the originals out to be re done. They are just sitting if your interested. $200 for the set plus shipping. New boots, new grease and ready to install. |
I hardly use the car and mechanic saw it on time, so no damage is done as far we can tell. (just small opening)
But, I will keep your offer in mind. So I just need the boots for now. Question is still the same which one? TIA |
Those parts numbers are for turbo CV boots. You said for SC, part number is 923-332-037-00-M84.

Yea, chnaging cv boots are a load of fun. At least on yours you will not have to torque the axle nut to 339 ft lbs.:)
