Porsche Crest 84 930, 959 body

car is based on a 84 930(911turbo) but it has a very well one off body on it that was done in California in the early 80's, for it to look like a 959. the car was driven around sparingly and was used as a weekend toy, so it is a very low mileage Porsche, under 50,000 miles. the car was put up in the mid 90's due to the fact that the divlar head studs that they came equipped with, had snapped. the car was in storage, until about 3 years ago when we started working on it. As it sits now it has:
rebuilt top end with new hi performance head studs
motec computer control box
rebuilt head for the mechanical fuel injection
new turbo fuel pump
new battery
new tires (kuhmo's)
i will be glad to email the reciepts of this car to any party interested
Please e-mail me at Billy_sijthoff@hotmail.com for any questions

there is a slight problem that has recently surfaced with the car, the bottom end has rod knock. the short block will require machine work and a complete rebuilt. the top end will be able to be reused.

I copied this thread here. Someone pointed out that this would make a nice "parts car" for my 959.

Actually, this replica doesn't look half bad - I like the attention to detail, like the side mirrors which are not quite there, but look pretty darn close to the originals. No sunroof of course existed on the 959s, but I do like the two oil doors on both sides - nice touch. I have never seen a replica though with center-lock wheels, like the real 959. That would be truly commenable if someone went that far.

I'm not a 959 replica fan but this does look to be very well done.

Getty Design pieces?

Yup, rain gutters. First thing I always look for. Other than that very, very well done replica. And it's a 930 under there so that adds brownie points.
