just replaced vr But...
ok i have had the normal jumpy rev counter and jerky running ..so after lots of fault finding ..fuel filter ..fuel pump..h/t sencer...dizzy cap.check most of the grounds..now i have replaced voltage /reg and all seems better no jumpy rev counter no jumpy running .but battery reads only 12.45 volts when driving and getv worse when going faster...when idling ti sits at 13.20 ish ..belt nice and tight as well...any idea...bad alternator pos..

How old is the alternator? Test it?
I just recently experienced some elevated levels on my voltmeter (on the Passport), of short term duration...freaked at what the DME may be seeing,..ordered a new Valeo reg overnight then handed it all over to my P-wrench (my schedule didn't permit my engagement just before a vacation trip)...he installed it all, to INCLUDE a new alt....then noted that the removed alternator/reg was, IN FACT, the original ...from 1989! He said he didn't even look at the brushes, etc.......it's amazing it lasted this long. She's now locked in the 14.2 - 14.4, hiway, unloaded. I'm happy now. Best,
