Sparkplugs

I just bought a bucket load of new sparkplugs , cheap, at a local auction--80 to be exact and as it was really short notice, I had no time to research the things and accepted the chart that the seller showed.
They are NGK BP8ES.
Subsequent investigation seems to indicate that my 2.7 CIS might well be better suited to a hotter plug?---I have found references to both the heat range7 and 6 for this engine.
Have I made [another]impulse buy of useless junk? The engine spec is standard.
Thanks ,Bob

Hi Bob:

Those plugs are FAR too cold for your engine.

Find someone with a racecar and make them a deal,....:)
