Hi,
Pelican has this rear valance: 911-505-171-08-GRV-M350 Can anyone confirm that it will fit a 1984 (M491) wide body? In other words, is the 1984 rear valance for the 'normal' body style the same for the M491? If not, does anyone know of a source for the correct part? Also, is the fit of after-market good, or should I try to source an original Porsche part? Mine has been scraped pretty badly and I would like to get a new one repainted at the same time I get new H4 rings painted... Many thanks, Mickeysoft |

the pn you referenced will bolt up to the wide body.
there is also 930 505 077 04 listed for the turbo. the only difference is the one you referenced (911 505 171 08) has a step pressed into it while the turbo has a more flat silhouette to clear the turbo specific exhaust. I've bought 3 of these on the fs board to experiment with different exhaust cooling schemes, so I know that stepped version ... 171 08 will bolt up, but not fit (cleanly) to the turbo exhaust. Porsche only sells one seal, so the bolt holes are the same for both pn's. Bill K
