Strange Reverse Light Gremlin
 

My Reverse lights work fine when the headlights are not on. When the car is dead cold & I start it turn on the headlights all works as normal. But, when I run the car, turn it off, & run it again after a small time, when I turn on the Headlights, the Reverse lights will go on & will not turn off unless I turn off the Headlights. With no Headlights it works normal. If I continue to go on & off with the light switch, the Reverse lights will go on & off with the switch......Ideas????

Could this be a Relay?

Start by removing and cleaning your transmission to body ground strap.

Kinda found the problem. Was pulling fuses the other day. Found the one for the License lights turned off the reverse lights. Now with no license plate lights my reverse lights work normal. I figure there is a short in there somewhere. I thought it could be the license light wires getting so hot that it got fused. I checked but it looked O.K. Still looking.... suggestions?
