If your window ever seperates from the rubber channel...
Don't leave it half way down. It will slide down into the door. (In my best Paul Harvey voice): And now, the rest of the story...
On my way to Atlanta to a wedding Saturday, the driver's side window stops moving but the power window motor is still operating. The motor will push the window up but it won't slide down on its own. If I hit the switch down, the window stays in place until I push it down to where it meets the channel. I stopped at a rest area and left the window down about half way. When I shut the door, it came off the channel and slid into the door and disappeared   and I had to drive the rest of the day with no window. Today I took off the inside door panel and put the window back in the channel (along with some glue to keep it there). The job isn't that hard but I sure would have liked to have a window driving to a wedding. |
