This first one is from the driver autograph session. Patrick Long (down at the end with curly red hair) was a cool guy ... I mentioned the recent Excellence article about him sharing a fellow Pelicans car in a vintage race and he got a big smile on his face and said how much fun he had !

Thats cool. Thanks for the pictures. I'm glad Patrick got to race in the Porsche Spyder again. A little bird told me he might be in one alot more next year. Patrick is a very cool guy.
What other professional driver would:
1. Hang out with amateur drivers at a vintage event.
2. Actually co drive in an enduro event with an amateur, in a car he has never been in, and on a track he has not raced on. (And still almost win....damn that small fuel cell grrr...)
3. Then hang out with your family and friends after the event and drink margaritas and talk shop.
I'm going to try to make Laguna Seca in a few weeks to watch the final race.
