alternator rebuilder in chattanooga TN area
I'm looking to have my alternator rebuilt and was wondering if any could recomend or have any experience with a local or somewhat local shop.

There's nothing magic about the alternators in our cars. Any competent rebuilder can handle the job. I had a local foreign alternator rebuilder do mine, and four years later it's still working fine.
A quick search of the Yahoo! Yellow Pages yielded these guys: http://www.americanalternator.com/. You might give them a call. Good luck!
