Just to followup, I forgot to mention that the 959 hood shocks appear to be unavailable, as are the replacement speakers. I will be attempting to replace parts with OEM original ones when possible, but when stuff is NLA, then I will have to replace with suitable replacements to keep the car in tip-top shape.

Also, to clarify, the dowel pin was used as a tool to hold the clip as I installed it onto the shock. Using this method, it took me about 2 minutes to install! I'll post a photo shortly.

Wayne, have you tries one of these 16 inch badboys for the pin and clip?
Its amazing how many other uses I've found for it since I did my hood shocks.

Also, doesn't the 959 have an tire pressure monitoring system imbedded in the hollow wheel spokes?
It would be interesting to see some of the earlier hardware that went into that system.
