My very First 911

I had a dream about 30 years ago as a kid, it was when I saw my first 911. I told myself some day I will own a fine machine like that. I had my share of fast cars but none like this. I need some help cleaning my rims, as a advid detailer it seems I want to hear what polish everybody is using on FISKE rims. Seems the previous owner did not keep up with them.

I posted a pic.

I use Meguiars Metal polish on the Budnik wheels I have on my Porsche. Might work with FISKE wheels too. Welcome to the forums. Nice ride you have there too by the way :)

Welcome to the Pelican boards and congratulations on your fine purchase!

Me, I just use Vaseline on my wheels...not too much though. Ha.

Good luck and have fun with the new ride.;)

Beautifullll car! Beautiful wheels too! I usually use the Blue Magic. You can easily find it at Autozone or most of autopart stores. I think Walmart has it too.
Again, beautiful car.

I watched both those car's sell on Ebay and wondered who bought both of them, the write up's were pretty good and the pic's made the cars look like decent deals on there.

 Thank you for all your reponses. I feel like one of the family now. I tried to use the blue magic but seems it dose not come up to a perfect polish that I would like, maybe a alittle more elbow grease.

RUFNIT 10-15-2007 10:27 AM

K9Torro I to watch these cars for awhile on Ebay, but I was out on a busniess trip in the chicago area and hooked up with the owner, very nice gentlemen and he also put me into contact with the shop that did the RUF conversion. So I guess I was at the right place at the right time...

I will send more pictures tonight and info about the car. Again thanks for the welcome.

Blue Magic will work if you know how to use it and it requires you to work hard on the metal. If the surface is too rough, you have to use some sand paper, very fine grid. If the surface is ok, no need to sand but best to have the buffer. If you don't have the buffer, well, consider it an arms exercise.
Hint, if it's too cold, you won't get the best out of it. Wait until you have a warm/hot sunny day, put your wheel under the sun for a while then buff.
Here is an example, I used blue Magic
