85 911 Hard Start, too rich

I have an 85 911. Suddenly does not want to start, and just pouring fuel through engine when I do get started, have to keep revs way up. Head temp reading normal. Fuel pressure normal. Intake temp reads lower than what is should, but jumping across it to simulate warmer temp does not change anything. Cleaned all grounds. Any ideas out there? Thanks for the help.

Hey Brother 85,

So how old is your DME relay?

If it is the original, it may need replacing. I am sure you have a back up right? If not, it is recommended that you have a backup DME relay ($30) handy in your baby.

Hope that solves your issue. It did for me ;)

I upgraded to the double wire Cylender Head Temperature Sensor and New DME relay and a New DME relay in trunk for back up.

My baby starts and runs great.
