After spending the last 22+ years in the US Air Force, I run nothing but US Military - USAF retired plates offered in Mississippi. Partly because I am proud of my service and partly because I am so happy its over. Never been a super fan of personalized tags, but its your car - do whatever makes you happy.

I always wanted to get SLWRNU or just SLOW. Then I don't have to prove it :) it has already been said :)

Here is a site with lots of custom plate abbreviations:

BTW, The most popular personalized plate requested on the first day of seven letter plates in California was *PORSCHE*

i think there great! nothing better than driving in traffic, bored to tears, hotter/colder than hell and see a vanity plate that makes you think.

some have taken us quite awhile to figure out if at all.

my faves would be in 4 more years when i can get vintage plates are the following:

CUM LAUD- ie. cum laude NAU graduate, dont think MVD will approve this one!!! yuck yuck yuck!

TO-TNIK

TOTNIC

CAB-O-LAY

CBOLAY

F-KLAS

F-CLAS

S-STOCK

DAS BOT

DER PIG

RED JUAN

RED HOT

ROHAS

VW

SLO-VW

i can go on and on with them.

bottom line i like 'em makes me think, drives me nuts til i figure them out, and keeps my mind occupied.

but the best one i ever saw as a kid was on this chicks vette on central ave here.

"IF YA CAN BEAT ME.......YOU CAN EAT ME!"

Wow, I have 2 porsches and a lifted truck, must be a fag with a small panis!!

+1

I never do anything illegal in my 911. But I like my license plate cryptic just in case.

I have had vanity plates on slow cars but only in states where they don't charge you extra every year for it. I can see that it is extra to have those guys at Folsom make you a special one, but after that, why rip you off on every registration?

Cheers,

George

I agree with most of you. It's all about having fun without being to obvious. Here's mine:
SCHNL

I guess the officials in Ct are mentally challenged. You can't use more than 6 letters/numbers. You can't mix letters next to numbers, like... B4H2O. So we are very limited here.

Just caught up with this thread. For those of you who are worried about people remembering your plate and you getting in trouble with the cops, don't you think you all already at a disadvantage because of your car? For example, if a person didn't remember my plate all they would have to do is say "yellow 911 that's really loud". If they are in the area I'm probably going to be the only one.

Regardless here's mine I've have it for years.

Great plate!
Someone was just asking about vanity plates and you revived the thread.
As I stated above we are very limited here. I was thinking about
"GOT AIR"

wideRSR 05-09-2008 10:04 AM

If I can get my project ( just starting) to beat one at the track I'd love to stick on "GT3 BTR' on it... only those who know something about p-cars would understand and the other know-nothings would likely just think it's a standard plate. ENZO BTR would be a nice place to be too

Well since I don't drink, smoke, or take illegal drugs I figured with all the money I'm saviing I'll go out and purchase a 24 yr old car and put a vanity plate on it. This is my way of relieving stress...driving a fun car and for those that don't know what it is I have a vanity plate. Of course if they don't know what I'm driving they'll never figure out the plate.

In Hawaii it's 6 digits max and since NINE11, IXXI, and 911 was taken I had to go with CMXI. Might be better since it may be harder to remember at a glance.
My log-on THRLLS was my first plate on my '01 M Roadster...that was my feelings when I drove it off the lot.
I also have RDWORK on hold.

I just ordered mine.

Only $30 and it helps pay for the highway landscaping in NC.

I'll post a picture when I get it in a few weeks.

They are fun, but I have taken my share of abuse over it! People I thought were my friends are riding me like a circus pony. We are so limited as to the number of digits(only 6), can't be all numbers, can't resemble a regular plate #, can't be deceptive (eg, 8B0OS5), etc... I wanted 84 911, Carrera or Porsche. I'll just keep thinkin' on it.
I do agree with what some have said about being reported to the police. 'Some purple sports car' isn't much of a description of the car that just passed you, but the plate will make it much easier for some old biddie to complain. Anyway, here it is in all it's glory (shame?)

I guess our convicts make 3x what yours do. They're $93.00 here in Ct. And I'm damn sure it doesn't go to a noble cause.
