Looks great. Also looks like it would have a good feel to it.

I have the same exact wheel and I love it. I added the extra spacer to move the wheel away from the dash (and a little closer to me). I love it! As a side note, I used WD40 to remove the 'Competition' from the wheel on a suggestion from a fellow Pelican.

I have the same wheel but used the horn ring with a Momo Porsche crest button. I also removed the Competition, but used a credit card edge to scrape it off. No problems.

Best upgrade you can do on these cars is change the steering wheel. Makes it seem like a completely different car. BTW nice wheel.

Cheers

What wheel is that and can I ask how much and where bought?

I'm in the market.

Thanks!

The wheel is the Momo Competition.
$150 + S/H on eBay
I paid another $67.50 for the steering wheel hub (required part).

It was kinda late when I finished up last night. I only had a chance to go around the neighborhood a bit to make sure things were OK, signal cancel worked, etc. So far, so good. I should have a chance to cut loose a bit more later today.

So I guess I need to drop cash on a Momo shift knob, now.

It is a very nice wheel, but I am probably one of the very few that prefers the original wheel. Particularly on the 85- 89 cars, which four spoke wheel I think is delicious but most people seem to hate.

OK, just came back from a brief drive. All I can say is, I should have changed out the steering wheel a long time ago.

Now you'll have to turn your gauges so you can see the important spots. My wife hates it, doesn't matter, she doesn't drive it.

I have the same wheel

I love it. You're right, it makes the car feel much newer.
I had to change the knob, too. Sorry no pic yet.
Thanks for the WD-40 tip on the cheesy "Competition" logo, mine is slightly smeared and I hate it.
Those little bumps at approx. 5 & 7 o'clock are great on long drives, I like to use them to massage the botom of my hands!
Turned my gauges, too.
Whee!

I'm quite taken by the roundness of it (not to mention that it appears to be equidistant from the center of the hub to any point on its circumference [unlike the non-concentric stock wheel on my SC]).

I put a hand-stitched (5 mph faster than a machine stitched wheel) Italvolanti on mine - rotated the speedo so I could see up to 90 mph without hunching over and possibly losing control. I left the tach alone.

Nice looking wheel you have there (little more effort to parallel park it though, eh? .

I'd have to see it in person, doesn't seem to fit the period of the car, but then again the eccentric original wheel I have I don't care for. Not a bad price though.
