Nice looking car - and with the interior a lighter color - it will be easier to keep the interior cool

I bought it sight unseen.
But between Grady's look over and the PPI, I felt pretty confident. The only thing un-original is the radio. It isn't completely without its issues though, but with 66k on it, I can work thru them and have a 'near new' car. There is an overcharging problem, a cracked CV boot, and non-functional hi beams. The AC doesn't cool, but is functional, which I'll address before summer. thanks todd 89 targa |

The AC is not broken, that's standard from the factory.
One piece of advice, when you pull the top off, if you can store it in the back seat/floor or in the front boot without folding it up, it will last longer. The constant folding creases the material and it can start to leak and tear. Nice car, enjoy it.

Love the AC advice; on my previous 86 coupe I put a third condensor, a new compressor, r/d, exp valve, underdash vent left it r12 and it was still only marginal. This new car seems to put out noticeably more air than the 86 did, but the system is totally stock, so we'll see. I think I'll have all the o rings replaced, and have it charged and see what I've got then.
Lowering ride hight needs to be added to the list of projects! todd |

I had a 73 Targa for awhile, but it was mostly a track rat. Cosmetically challenged but mechanically sound. It was not driven much on the street, so I don't have much advice for you. That was the one thing I remember being told.
