Hard/Main oil line failure?

Has anyone ever had the main oil line fail? I had been monitoring a leak and when I looked closer at it, it appears to be coming from the point where the oil line meets the case.

I took off the HE and removed the fitting to replace the crush washer. (I did this 2 years ago as well) When I bolted the line back on, it seemed to weep a little as I tightened it up. Makes me think that I might be repeating this again.

I haven't driven it since I broke the exhaust in the removal process and need to get it welded. Anyway, anyone ever experience this thing failing at the joint/fitting like that?

Thanks

Mine's leaking there as we speak. Dripping on the heat exchanger. I haven't done anything about it yet.
